Description

Fisher man soup is a delight, its Sea food taste mixed with delicious spices is quite an exquisite.

Ingredients
  • 2 kg Fresh fish
  • 6 pcs King size crabs
  • 12 pcs Fresh big prawns
  • 4 Dried fish
  • Stockfish
  • 1 cup Crayfish
  • Fresh bonnet (atarodo)
  • Pumpkin leaves (ugwu)
  • 2 medium pcs Onions
  • 1 soup spoon Palm oil
  • 3 cubes Seasoning cube
  • Salt to taste
  • Cocoyam powder/paste
Instructions
  1. Bring to boil your water for cooking in a medium pot.
  2. Dice the onions and chop the peppers after washing them with water.

  3. Wash your other items like the fresh fish (wash well with lime squeeze in water to remove slime), the
    prawns and crabs.

  4. Add in the fresh fish

  5. Add in the crabs

  6. Add in prawns

  7. Add in your dry fish along with the chopped onions, peppers (fresh bonnet) and dried crayfish

  8. Then add in your seasoning cubes and salt to taste

  9. Add in cocoyam powder or paste for thickening

  10. Allow to cook for 5 minutes

  11. Pour in the palm oil and cook for another 5 minutes on low heat

  12. Wash and chop the fresh pumpkin leaves

  13. Then add these to the soup and allow to cook for another 5-7 minutes

  14. Remove from the heat and serve the soup while hot.

  15. It goes well with starch, Garri or pounded yam as swallow
