Description

Fish Sauce is simply a fried pepper based sauce, delicious when paired with boiled or fried yam. This sauce is incredibly tasty yet easy to prepare.

Ingredients
  • 1 big Smoked or Boiled Mackerel Fish
  • 10 plum tomatoes
  • 1 Habenero (atarodo)
  • 2 Green chilli
  • 1 small Green Bell Pepper
  • 2 medium Onions
  • 1 tsp chopped Ginger
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 seasoning cube
  • 1 tbs Ground crayfish 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
Instructions
  1. Add vegetable oil to a pot till it is hot, add chopped onions, chopped ginger and chopped bell pepper.

  2. Sauté.

  3. Roughly blend tomato, pepper and onion. Add this to the pot.

  4. Scatter the mackerel fish into chunks, then add this to the pot.

  5. Add chopped green chilli too.

  6. Add salt, thyme and seasoning cube.

  7. Cover the pot and allow to cook till the oil starts floating at the top.

  8. This should take about 10 minutes.

  9. Remember to stir occasionally.

  10. Now add ground crayfish and allow to simmer.

  11. Bring down after 2 mins
