Description

Goat Meat in Yam Pepper Soup, this African native soup is a meal to yearn for, it is full of deliciousness and it will delight your soul. Pepersoup is an appetizer but when Peppersoup is combined with Yam, it become a main meal. Serve as e dey hot.

Ingredients
  • 1 tuber Yam
  • Goat Meat with Bones
  • 1 Red Onion (Diced)
  • Scotch Bonnet (Thinly Chopped)
  • 2 tsp Pepper soup spice
  • 2 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger (Minced)
  • 1/2 Cayenne Pepper
  • Basil leaves or Utazi Leaves as desired
  • Seasoning Cubes 2 cubes
  • Salt to taste
Instructions
  1. Peel, and then slice your yam into small pieces and set aside.

  2. Wash and chop the goat meat.

  3. Add the Onions, Ginger, Garlic, Knorr cubes and salt to taste.

  4. Place on low heat and leave to simmer for 5-7 minutes. This will help to release the natural flavor of the goat meat.

  5. After 5 minutes, lift the lid, add water to cover and leave to boil for 30 minutes.

  6. Then add the Pepper Soup Spice and Pepper.

  7. Taste for seasoning and just if necessary.

  8. You may need to add more water if your Pepper soup turns out too thick.

  9. Then leave to cook 2mins

  10. Then add the yam.

  11. Leave to cook for another 10minutes or until both plantain and goat meat are soft.

  12. Your Yam in Goat Meat Peppersoup is ready. Serve as e dey hot
