Russian Salad, also known as Olivier salad by invention made by Lucien Olivier for the Hermitage restaurant in Moscow in the 1860’s. It is a classic salad recipe and can delight any party as it goes well with both Continental and Indian cuisine, prepared with few easily available ingredients.
Boil or steam the chopped vegetables to a bite like consistency, drain and chill.
When cool, mix the sauce, salt, black pepper and mustard powder.
Chill and serve.
