Recipe Description
This Strawberry recipe is perfect for a sunny day. It is high in protein and low in fat, I call it pretty because it actually is.
Ingredients
- Fresh strawberries (hulled and rinsed) 2 cups
- Banana (firm, peeled and cut into 1 inch pieces) 1
- Honey (maple syrup, or white sugar to taste) 2 tsp
- Fresh lemon juice Optional
- Plain whole milk yogurt 1 cup
- Ice (optional) 1 cup
Steps
- Add the yogurt and strawberries to the blender.
- Blend until very smooth.
- Taste and add a few drops of fresh lemon juice and a little sweetener as needed.
- The amount you add will depend on your fruit.
- If it tastes a little bland or flat, add both lemon and 1 teaspoon 1 tablespoon sweetener of choice. If it tastes just great, you don’t have to add either!
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for 2 days in the fridge, shaking well before serving (If you plan to store it, do add the lemon juice.)
